Video Game Releases for February 2017

Highlights include For Honor, Horizon Zero Dawn and Nioh

Here are some great video game releases for the month of February 2017. FEB. 2

Fire Emblem Heroes (Android and iOS) - In the first appearance of Fire Emblem in mobile phones, players will take the role of Summoner and "invoke Fire Emblem heroes throughout history," including Fire Emblem characters: The Binding Blade, Fire Emblem Awakening and Fire Emblem Fates in turn based battles. Those battles will take place in an 8x6 network designed to fit smartphones, Nintendo said during its Nintendo Direct on January 18, and feature the same Fire Emblem franchise triangle system. Players will be able to upgrade their heroes and may even summon additional heroes to complement their army. Vote before January 31 to get your favorite characters in the game and win rewards for your Nintendo account.

FEB. 3:

Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World (Nintendo 3DS) - This 3DS port will feature all levels of the Wii U game. In addition, the 3DS version will feature new levels in which players take control of Poochy wool. Yoshi will even have the option of teaming up with a Poochy Pups trio, which will help sniff out secrets. Nintendo also plans to release a Poochy Ami IBO thread along with the 3DS game.

FEB. 7:

Atelier Sophie: The Mystery Book Alchemist (Windows PC) - The 17th installment of the Atelier series appeared in the United States in June 2016 on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, but is now coming to Windows PC.

For honor (PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One) - Ubisoft Montreal's medieval action game, For Honor, has three factions: Knights, Samurai, and Vikings. The unique multiplayer War of the Factions mode will track "all multiplayer activities on all platforms of all players," and the winning faction will receive rewards in the game over rewards everyone will have.

Sniper Elite 4 (PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One) - The Sniper Elite fan base is one of the hardest in the industry, in love with a game that could be considered "boring on purpose".
