Black Ops 6 just revealed the content of its Season 1 and COD fans are celebrating

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 1 feature almost unbelievable content, with maps, modes, and weapons galore.

I know Call of Duty seasons are usually packed with new content, but would you be checking out Black Ops 6 Season 1? With new maps, modes, perks, scorestreaks, weapons, Zombie experiences, Operators, and more, its new roadmap is making my eyes cross… There’s also a ton of content coming to Warzone, including the battle royale’s adoption of BO6’s loadout system and a vast arsenal of weapons.

But for now, let’s focus on Black Ops 6 itself. The FPS game is already packed with content, but it’s about to get even heavier. When the Black Ops 6 Season 1 release date rolls around, we’ll get two new 6v6 maps called Hideout and Extraction, and a new small Face Off map called Heirloom. Later in the season, the map pool will expand once again to include another Face Off map called Racket, a festive take on Nuke Town, and Hacienda, which is a returning 6v6 map from Black Ops 4. If you ask me, it was also the best one from BO4, so this is an exciting prospect indeed.

Another Call of Duty classic returns in Season 1, and that’s the Prop Hunt game mode. It takes the form of a barrel, a tree, a sign, a coffee cup – whatever you can find to fool the hunting team. While Prop Hunt is coming later in the season, at launch you’ll be able to try out Ransack, a brand new mode that’s vaguely reminiscent of the action you see in The Finals. You loot gold bars scattered around the map, return them to your team’s stash, and then protect the stash from any enemies who might want to steal your hard-earned bars.

A Black Ops Cold War score streak is also coming to the game on launch day: the Hand Cannon. It's one of the most satisfying score streaks to use, letting you wield a powerful pistol for a short period that can blow people away before they can say "run."

There are also two new perks, a new Wildcard, and several new weapons released throughout the season to spice up your best Black Ops 6 loadout. As for weapons, two of my favourite weapons from previous Black Ops 6 games (the Krige assault rifle and Smaug SMG) are back and unlockable in the Battle Pass. On a more ominous note, Dragon's Breath incendiary rounds are also being added for shotguns, and anyone who knows their COD history knows that they're generally an overpowered mess. Hopefully, they'll be well-balanced...

Immediately when Season 1 arrives, a new Zombies experience called Directed Mode will be added, which will help guide players through the story missions in Terminus and Liberty Falls. Hardcore players have had the chance to experience this naturally, so now is the time to make these fantastic maps accessible to everyone.

Treyarch has also revealed the name of the game's round three Zombies map, Citadels de Mort's. Sadly, it won't be arriving until December, but at least there are two other great maps to keep us busy in the meantime.

Of course, Warzone is also benefiting from the start of the Black Ops 6 season. The new Area 99 map is coming to the battle royale game, and Rebirth Island and Urzikstan are also returning to the map pool. On top of that, it's adopting all of Black Ops 6's gameplay features, such as its dynamic Omni-Movement system, its loadout system, the ability to grab other players and turn them into human shields, and more.

Season 1 of Black Ops 6 and Warzone launches on Thursday, November 14 in both games. You can read the frankly massive blog post announcing all of the content coming in Season 1 here.
