Black Friday and Cyber Monday may have come and gone. But that has not prevented Microsoft from publishing some rather surprising deals in the next 12 days, half of which will need to visit a Microsoft brick-and-mortar store to score.
Since the offers begin on December 5, you have until Monday to plan your purchases. And you will also need to plan them: The 12 days of offers are unlocked every day and are only good "while supplies last". Of course, you'll have to line up in a Microsoft physical store if you want to jot down a "doorbuster."
Some of the offers are worth it. Microsoft will offer up to $ 1,000 off select PCs on two separate days, for example, and there are also a number of half-game offers on Xbox One games. You are likely to skip this deal, unless you are in the market for a FitBit. We reviewed the Lenovo IdeaPad 100 last year, and this is a cheap laptop designed to compete with Chromebooks. We did not particularly like it.
Wednesday, December 7: 50% discount on Xbox One games; Doorbuster: $ 50 off Groove Music
Microsoft is not saying which games will be in the middle, although we suspect they will be games like Re / Core that have mixed reviews. Prices, reportedly, start at $ 19.99. It's worth looking at the Xbox store that day, well, if you're the type who prefers the downloads rather than the prices they can apply there as well. This agreement with Groove Music is solid, although the $ 50 discount comes in the form of a Microsoft Store gift card. We have reviewed several solid Core M tablets, including the HP Elite x2. They are not so cheap, so a discount makes sense. The Xbox Live Gold discount is also a gift card. There are a number of cheap alternatives to an annual gold sub, so this door is less impressive. Heck, with Microsoft Rewards, you can get Live Gold for free.

Windows Premium Collection laptops and tablets are Microsoft curated and shipped free of third-party crapware that may affect devices sold by retailers. This can only be worth it. Microsoft is not specifying Office discounts, so I would stay at home for this doorbuster.
Sunday, December 11: $ 25 for Xbox wireless controllers; Doorbuster: $ 179 Xbox One
Driver discount is another gift card. The doorbuster, however, might be worth taking a look at, especially if you are in the market for a new Xbox One. Note that these discounts only seemingly apply to the 500 GB models, but they are a true $ 120 Off, for a total price of $ 179, not a gift card. Another intriguing day of deals, especially if you are in the market for a new Xbox. Again, there is no indication if the Xbox One S is in play here, or if this only applies to older models. Why not get a free gift card, however, and ask in person? Just be there early.
Tuesday, December 13: $ 100 card with Live / Rift; Doorbuster: FitBit Cargo HR discount
